FitDocs scrubs are made from a high-quality, pre-shrunk polyester-cotton blend that is designed to maintain its shape and size through repeated washing.
Expected Shrinkage
Under normal washing conditions (30°C, machine wash), you can expect minimal shrinkage of less than 1–2%, which is negligible and within garment industry tolerance. This means a medium should still fit like a medium after 50+ washes.
How to Minimise Shrinkage
- Wash at 30°C or 40°C maximum
- Do not tumble dry on high heat
- Avoid boil washing (even for infection control — our fabric holds up to 60°C clinical washes)
Clinical Washing (60°C)
If you need to wash at 60°C for infection control compliance, there may be a small amount of additional shrinkage over time. In this case, we recommend sizing up by one size.
💡 Our scrubs are pre-washed during manufacturing to minimise first-wash shrinkage. Try them on before the first wash to confirm the fit.
